Frequently Asked Questions

Comment venir en Andorre ?

Since Andorra has no airport or train station, access is only by road, via France (through the Ariège region, Pas de la Casa pass) or Spain (via La Seu d’Urgell). The nearest airports are Toulouse-Blagnac and Barcelona-El Prat, located approximately 2.5 hours away by road, as well as La Seu d’Urgell Airport (20 km away, with regional flights). Regular bus services connect Andorra to Toulouse and Barcelona several times a day (AndBus). Locally, getting around relies on a car (rental or personal vehicle) and a network of local buses connecting the main parishes. For an extended stay, we recommend having a car, as there is no rail service and public transport is limited outside of major roads.

Quels sont les prix de l’immobilier en Andorre ?

The median price of an apartment for sale is €5,573/m². This means that there are as many apartments more expensive than €5,573/m² as there are less expensive ones. As for houses for sale, the median price is €5,177/m². (source: Properstar)

The procedure is carried out at the Andorran Vehicle Registration Office (Servei de Tràmits) with presentation of the required documents (registration certificate, certificate of conformity, insurance, and vehicle inspection certificate if applicable) and payment of registration fees. However, please note: only tax residents may permanently drive with Andorran license plates; non-residents must retain their original country of registration.

Comment fonctionne le système éducatif en Andorre ? (écoles, études supérieures, ...)

In Andorra, families can choose between three public school systems: Andorran (Catalan), French, or Spanish, all free and multilingual. School is compulsory from age 6 to 16, with an emphasis on language learning (Catalan, French, Spanish, and English). For higher education, the University of Andorra offers a few programs, but most students continue their studies in France or Spain through recognition agreements.

Quelles langues officielles en Andorre ?

Andorra is the only sovereign state in the world whose official language is Catalan. It is used in administration, Andorran schools, and public life. However, the country is truly multilingual: French and Spanish are widely spoken and taught, while English is becoming increasingly important, particularly in tourism and business.
